Videos After Dark

Sure the return of this show as an "adult" version is probably just a cash grab but what's with all the hate? We all know Bob Saget is cringeworthingly ridiculous, especially in his old age but that's what makes it so funny! If you were a fan of the original AFHV the format of this show is pretty much exactly the same. You get the hilarious voiceovers and commentary from Saget with all the cheese of the original but as an "adult" show. What's not to love?

The jokes are pretty bad. Some of the videos are funny, but they don't get to take credit for that. Some of the videos aren't funny at all, just painful to watch. A grandma talking about veluptious balls, a stripper eating pizza; it's all something, but not usually funny. The voice overs however are just incredibly painful across the board. Sometimes it crosses the line into being so bad it's good, but not usually. It's awful, watch it once just to know how bad it is.

Not even sure what they're trying to pull off with this turd show. It's just horrible

I like Bob Saget. I even liked America's Funniest Home Videos 20+ years ago. But this is too similar in all the wrong ways and doesn't go far enough in the ways that it differs. Painful to watch. Just finished the first episode. Maybe it'll get better as time goes on. Fingers crossed.

As much as I love America's Funniest Home Videos, I cannot get behind this mature audience-aimed spin-off. Basically, this show is ABC's attempt at making a spin-off similar to the controversial Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos, a special so disgusting and offensive, it was pulled halfway through its initial airing.

Hosted by Bob Saget, the O. G. host of AFV, this show lasted two episodes, which was one-and-a-half episodes longer than ANHV. Sadly, if you saw the ANHV, this is basically the same thing, as the videos are a collection of videos that were too explicit, too gross, too vulgar, or even violent for AFV. Sadly, this is not for the faint of heart, as the videos are indeed naughty (from video of blurred nudity and adults doing dangerous acts, to videos of children using words they should not be using or videos of gross stuff I am not going to mention). As much as it is good to see Bob Saget do another video show, he didn't really need to stoop this low, as his voiceovers and jokes on each video were not funny enough to tone them down.
