After reading description of this movie I lowered my expectations and, damn, how satisfied I was in the end of this awesomeness.
Girl finds a voodoo doll that she use for own cases, whatever it is, but all comes eventually back at her.
I thought later that It could be fine if they just keep this doll as a sort of weapon, like it is in the first half of the movie and make it psychological, character-based drama thriller. But no, few inch doll of about 1kilogram weight can walk very fast, jump, wound or kill grown up people, hold the door against somebody and pull the bodies. I have to say, the doll self looks fantastically creepy and my wife wants actually buy a copy of it. We will hang it in the living room.
Acting is all over the place, skipping from scene to scene, one moment is serious, second later absurdly over the top, next moment actresses do like it's last day on set. Subplot about teacher is pretty cringy, but pretends to be creepy. I had to wonder why Kilee doesn't call police or even the school and talk about him. All the other teachers and students see what's going on but nobody reacts. You have to check out hilarious reactions and acting of background characters, like this doctor guy. Characters makes some dumb decisions that nobody with just a bit of intelligence would ever do. End is lazy, they live happily forever after and nobody cares.
The creators had obviously paper thin budget and it shows, everything happened in just a few locations, special effects are almost non existent or cheap, doll makes a noises of a cheetah.
I was sitting through the most of the time with big smile on my face, chuckled from time to time, often bursting with laught.
I recommend it only if you are a fan of tv quality camp or b movies, just like me. In any other circumstances, don't waste your time.
