Xiao Niangre

Bad acting, story, writing and cinematography. Even the veteran Mediacorp actors that were brought in acted terribly.

The acting and dialogue was terrible. The characters performed actions and said things that are unlikely to happen in real life.

Tried to ride on the success of the Little Nyonya, which was comparable to period dramas about family politics, but did not make proper use of its legacy and there was no connection at all.

Some of the scenes/sub-plot made no sense and serve nothing to develop the story.

Singapore has always been infamous for its notoriously bad dramas and movies when compared to other coutries. This recent production proves standards are still getting worse.
