Jones High School Marching Tigers

I graduated from all-black Jones High School in 1962 when all Orlando area schools were segregated. I was a NAACP teen activist who led sit-ins in at local restaurants and lunch counters from 1960-62. We were arrested but were treated respectfully. Seeing our amazing band in this video brings tear to my eyes. I thank the University of Central Florida film department for producing this heartwarming film. I know some of the students and teachers who spoke and it makes me feel sad that so many of my classmates, teachers and administrators who supported my efforts to succeed have passed on.
