There are some stories that make you go "Awwwww". This is one of them. It's about simpletons from Punjab and their Canada PR aspirations and the naive planning they do. Gurnaam Bhullar will make you fall in love with his character. Sargun Mehta could've delivered somewhat better performance but in the grand scheme of things, it's not unforgivable. The story, direction and nuances of the characters are very well thought through.

To all the movie makers who makes movie and shows like 'Four more shots please', and 'veerey di wedding', hear out, this is real feminism and freedom a girl want, not the one you are portraying.

Yesterday, I read some comments by Harbhajan Mann's in a address at Panjab Chandigarh. He mentioned how cinema & music is true reflection of society & they can be utilized as catalyst to bring changes in society. I am sure this was motivation behind this movie as well. While initially, it appeared to be a regular Punjabi movie: Some love-confusion-lies-A few songs-Finally the girl/boy apologize for the lie on the basis of love, severely devoid of any logic & any message. But, this apprehension soon made way to appreciation. Rekindling of dreams of a girl child was moving. Movie remained in the realistic realm. Take on the movie rightly paint the larger picture of this epic.

Loved the movie, very realistic dialogues and story. No dancing and singing on the fields- touched very serious topics and the manner in which they dealt with them was awesome. No over the top drama. I am glad that they are finally making these movies that the young generation can learn from- a husband supporting his wife to achieve her dreams.

The best movie anyone can create , most awaited movie , which revolves around male chauvinists society, who treat female interests as secondary to men's, and typically depersonalize women as people of equal worth.

Movie was all about how a man support her life partner to achieve their goal. He loves her like everything. His only priority is her wife and her happiness.

It is a slap for those who thinks that a girl is born just to sit at home who tolerates violences against her dreams.

Housework for women is assumed, whereas men and his family believe that taking care of their home is optional . Reality is Love each other's and fulfill each other dreams . Everything that needs to do in the house it's a shared responsibility. Women's are not meant to be work like maid after marriage. In each house they were eating food and Cleaning of their house before. But when marriage happen they feel they got the maid now they can relax. After marriage a girl came but just to help each other not for taking all responsibilities of your house. She came to live life and she can fulfill her dreams even after marriage. Partner will enhance each other's best qualities and help balance out each other's faults, acting as one solid unit to take on the world.
