Contra el Demonio

I saw this movie at my favourite theater yesterday. When I heard the first lines the actors said I really wanted to go outside. The escenes of the movie feel weird at first view, they are very bad structured and suddenly change to another without coherence. Dialogs are overeacted and the whole movie is a cliché. It also has a very weird mix of different topics badly developed. I would not recommend see this if you're paying. Special effects are "decent" though. Chilean art has a lot more to show, this is not a good example of it.

"Contra el Demonio" is a bad film with simple performances, a weak direction, silly music score and an awful cinematography. The script, full of cliches typical of possessions and haunted house films, there is two or three good creepy scenes but no more. A really bad film.

This movie does not offer anything special as a horror movie. The audience has to pretend it is worth watching just because it is chilean, but I think there is no big deal on it. There should be no more of these kind of movies, such like this one or American Poltergeist, it hasn't any sense to do that.
