... although he is constantly factually incorrect. He really knows how to turn complex psychological insights into jokes. I think this is a rare talent. His problem is that he is a leftist, who wants to dance on the woke side of things. He goes over the edge on things that are safe, for that particular moment in time. He is a rare comedian, who can still, with all that echo chamber stuff, make good jokes. Most leftist comedians have zero jokes and 100% echo chamber repetitions, that serve only to make people on the far left, comfortable with their delusions.
Extremely entertaining and well done; he also made some really good points that I'm going to be thinking about for a while !! strongly recommed!
I enjoyed it very much! It was really funny and emotional at the same time. Daniel Sloss is really talented, not only in comedy but also in understanding life, pain, relationships etc. I especially enjoyed 'Dark' and watched it so many times. His understanding of comedy is dark, that's for sure, but the way he forms his jokes makes him more relatable, i think. I recommend this to anyone who is not too sensitive. Thank you Daniel Sloss for making me laugh so much!!
The only reason someone does not like his style might be the lack of understanding his point. It is sort of socially crtitical and in a smart and intelligent way. I like his style as it makes you think and laugh. If you like Seinfeld for example, you dislike Daniel Sloss. Seinfeld is the kind of consevative comedy I totally get bored, because there is no courage to it. Where Jeselnik goes way too far, Sloss is spot on. I think one should be more into Monty Python than classical American comedy to get into his shows. This guy is really smart and I can totally live up his joie de vivre. Even if I did disagree on some points, I get it from his point of life experience. For example I really liked the twist when it comes to his ex wife and being a vegan. That was one of those clever things in the show but disgreed with his analogy in some point. This guy rocks and this is just my humble opinion, nothing else.
Ok so am gonna split this review for each episode and then am gonna summarize at the end.
DARK
It starts off really well but kind of fades at the end with the whole "paralyzed sister's death bit". His intentions to show funny in tragedy was daring but he doesn't live up to the task as he fails to lift the mood for a long while towards the end.
JIGSAW
This was by far a more complete show. This episode is where Daniel delivers and lives up to the hype. the show is intelligently written and is genuinely funny.(not so much if you are Facebook vegan). There are serious rofl moments plus the creative message where he added his personal touch to the show.
so inconclusion I recommend powering through the first episode just to be able to watch the second one. I hope Daniel continues working on his material and develop a full comedian persona on stage because I believe he has potential to be one of the greats. PS: I rated a 7 because the first show dragged it down, the second episode deserves a much higher rating. (Seriously check it out even if you are vegan).
