Solid and charming film, a good watch. Paints a convincing little world with all the characters in it. Jess Salgueiro is great, a lot of it is very funny - the scenes with Naomi Snieckus stood out in particular. More than just "stood out", she made me laugh enough that I'm going to go out of my way to watch things she's in now.
Slightly puzzled at the casting choices of Colin Mochrie and Maria Vacratsis as Anne Banting's parents; they're both very pale and Jess is not. But if it was just cast on the grounds of acting ability that makes sense. Maybe she was adopted, who cares?

This one hooked us in fast.
It is extremely well made. Everything from the silly plot, dialogue.
Thank you for making a movie THE WAY IT SHOULD BE DONE.
Film makers should be taking lesson from all of you.<3<3.

Very interesting concept executed perfectly.

I think anyone who likes a little semi light humour will enjoy this. The different strains and their effects are a little hidden secret among users, Lebanese red i think is a real corker, but very hard to find. this, although slowish and kind of deadpan attracts me because. It rises above the normal every day movie. It could go on in the background at a party, and quite easily create a unique party atmosphere as people start quietly sitting in front of it and discussing the various subject angles, and there are many. It seems almost real, and i suppose has some facts inserted, try it out, you'll either like it, or bin it, but i left feeling i had not wasted my time, yes, a six plus plus out of ten for sure
Did you know
- GoofsEarly in the movie when Anne is speaking with Gloria, in the background the radio announces that since marijuana has been legalized in Canada, there are already lineups at the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario). Though there was talk of LCBO becoming a legalized distributor of cannabis, they never did do so. Gloria also says that Shoppers (Shoppers Drug Mart, a major drug store chain) sells cannabis. Again, there was talk of SDM distributing it, but they only distributed marijuana designated for medical-use.
