My Stretch of Texas Ground

I'm sorry to say I wasted $4.00 to watch this piece of crap! I'm guessing the Mabid film festival is all about garbage movies.

This is an intriguing concept about a middle eastern terrorist that infiltrates American soil, with the intent to kidnap and murder a Texas Senator. The only thing standing in his way is a local Texas Sheriff. If that sounds like Walker Texas Ranger well... that's because it's just like Walker Texas Ranger. So, if you're a fan of the show, give this one a shot. The plot is pretty straightforward and most of the characters and relationships stay pretty standard, so you pretty much know what you're getting from the start but there's a good amount of tension, guns, and hot pursuits that keep this one entertaining. Some of the acting doesn't always hit the mark but the main actor does a very good job. Thanks for the watch!

As an Honorable Discharge Military Veteran who served faithfully for the United States Airforce and actually served in Baghdad, Iraq as one of my main deployments there in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, I am going to be honest with you all, I actually really enjoyed watching, "My Stretch Of Texas Ground." This thriller indie film written by a visionary screenwriter Ralph Cinque and directed by an amazing indie film director Erich Kemp brings a strong message to the audience. Film is a form of art. Films are made to both entertain the audience and depict an important message from both the visionary minds of the writer and director themselves. Filmmaking is not an easy job, it's a process that is a difficult task for a movie to get seen by the world. I want to congratulate the entire cast and crew of, "My Stretch Of Texas Ground" for this major accomplishment of making a thought provoking independent movie. Of course certain viewers out there will eventually be giving out negative comments about someone else's work of art and vision, but let me tell you as a viewer, fan, and customer, I greatly respect people's art and vision tremendously, and there is not ONE SINGLE MOVIE out there that is to be honest perfect, but yes I do agree that each movie being produced and made out there does have their own flaws, but it boils down to this, that the story of the movie and the message in itself is what we as viewers need to focus on rather than be judgmental about it. We need to set aside and put away our political views period when it comes to viewing and rating a movie. If you know what the synopsis is about the movie and deep in your gut, you are not interested in it, then move on and find a movie that interests you, so that you can say something positive about. Just don't come in and put all your hate and negativity on someone else's art and vision and degrade them because of their craft. Be respectful to the visionaries art when it comes to their movies. Remember to love movies, all kinds of movies in this multicultural world that we live in, and once again if you are not into a particular movie, just move on to the next on that catches your eye and interest. My Stretch Of Texas Ground is definitely a compelling story that not only makes us proud of our unique culture and heritage, but also brings the idea of hate and war to an end. Let PEACE abide in us all, both in love and UNITY! This is definitely a deserving indie thriller film to be watch for sure. If you are seeing this review, as a fan, customer, and military veteran who was involved in the War in Baghdad, Iraq, I kindly ask each and everyone to take the time to at least rent this movie for a few dollars and watch it for the message being portrayed along with a positive review. I give it a 10 in my book!

Late-night Hallmark Channel wouldn't play this as filler.

On the surface, My Stretch of Texas Ground is an action-packed thriller about an Islamic warrior from North Africa who comes to the US on a terrible mission. Underneath, however, the film tells two very human stories. We meet the righteous and patriotic sheriff, also a loving father, whose life gets turned upside down when his hometown becomes the target of a terrorist attack. But we also get a glimpse at the very human emotions that are behind the Islamic warrior coming here to commit the terrorist act which settles on the sheriff's small Texas town.

In today's political climate we need films which shed light on multiple facets of international, and national terrorism. Every terrorist act, as terrible it might be, has it's origin in a human story. We need to understand this in order to make a difference. My Stretch of Texas Ground contributes to that subject with a well written independent film; well acted, well directed, and superbly executed! Highly recommended.
