Not sure how I even managed to watch this because it was a failure on all levels. The acting on this show is unwatchable. I kept watching hoping things would change but Tom Welling and his supporting actors made me cringe into another dimension. The directing was the worst I've ever seen and the story was dull. Save your time and avoid it at all costs.
Just watch 1st episode and so far I like it! It sort of clumsy multibillionaire business couple hiring a group of independent group of military mercenaries with special skills. It like a personal private CIA agency operation that is being run so far by the multibillionaire business couple. They go on a mission to find stuff and hunt for information. Use high tech gear for their investigation. Money to open doors. It an adventure, espionage, action, detective drama, comedy.
I chuckle at all the interaction between the team. I am in love the blonde lady mercenary. Will continue to watch this series because it is different.

It has Brendan Frazer's charm and enthusiasm, and Tom Welling's beautiful face, so I enjoyed it. Is it flat in spots and a bit predictable. Sure! Is it great TV, no, but it is definitely a fun watch. Lots of action, some trite dialogue and the back ground music is OTT on occasions but the story is good, there are some good plot twists, and the premise is rather cool. Don't know why so many have rated it so badly, as it is a nice enough show to veg out too and there is certainly always room for Brendan Frazer's goofy charm.
Puts one in mind of 80s "A-Team", with cigar chewing Hannibal, some frivolity, and extras emerging every week from a hail of live ammunition. This one's more straight-faced, but pretty entertaining also, not for its attention to detail, but for its unabashed 'send-up' of dramas that take themselves too seriously. It's cleverer than you think to appear to satirize yourself whilst calling out the contrived situations of other mediocre shows. 'Professionals' is recommendable for good, tongue-in-cheek family viewing. Tom Welling is one of those familiar faces, with a saucy grin, who understands perfectly his role in this production - likeable, unorthodox, sartorial.
This was a huge let down, as an avid Brendan Fraser fan I decided to watch this resulting in being absolutely mortified by every minute of it. I would have given this negative stars if that were in any way possible. This has to be one of the worst shows I've seen in years. The premise and the unravelling of the plot is absurd. The stiff and wooden performances are, at best, distracted as is the direction. Cheap production values, a horrific script filled with cliché after cliché, laughable acting, there isn't one redeemable thing. This wasn't a funny kind of bad. It was just plain bad. Don't. Just. Don't.
