A detailed blueprint to the coporate takeover of our democracy

I first heard about this documentary from Tom Hartmann while listening to his show on SiriusXM radio. If you never really understood what the Bernie Sanders movement was all about, view this documentary and you will better appreciate his views. I always knew that corporate influence in our government was there but this program digs deep into the beginnings of it with great detail and explanation. If you have any interest in the political, economic, and social struggles we are facing as a nation there is no better video out there that brings to the light the very simple fact that the corporate elite has gradually gained control of all aspects of our lives for the past 40-50 years. The blatant disregard for workers and their families in search of profit has left millions of Americans displaced and without hope. The recent election of Joe Biden in 2020 has me questioning if he will continue down the same road as all the past presidents since this takeover began, or will he take on the corporate ruling class and begin to address the loss of jobs, income inequality? Only time will tell. I was riveted to the screen during this documentary and highly recommend it.

    Another Anti-Trump documentary

This is just another piece of liberal / socialist anti-Trump propaganda disguised as a "documentary", featuring well knows socialists like Chris Hedges. Conveniently, there is no information about the globalist corruption going on in the EU and in China.

    Influence of Wealth

Corporate Coup d'Etat defined as, "sudden, illegal takeover of government by a small group." Trump, "I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States." Does faithfully translate to give CEOs, corporations, Wall Street tax cuts? Who was the first to propose corporatism? Surprisingly, Mussolini. 2010 Supreme Court ruling overturned centuries of campaign finance laws that restricted specific financial support of a specific candidate. The ruling said, in effect, that a corporation has the same 1st Amendment political speech rights as an individual. Well, that's a level playing field! Trump supporter asked about Trump's sexual relations. He said, it took place in the privacy of his home before being elected. Which, in effect, is saying 20+ improper (to say the least) encounters, many during his three marriages, do not count toward a person's character. Or, Trump's statement, as a celebrity he "can do anything" to a women. I had plantar fasciitis spurs in both feet; only was a bother for 20 minutes after waking up for the few months it took to resolve itself during which time I was able to run 5 miles; play hours of bball every day - no problem. For the same common ailment he got his family doctor to get him two excuses from serving in the military during the Vietnam war. That's called the wealth privilege.

    Deep dive

A well documented and argumented document on the systems in place to suppress the people's voice in favour of the greed of the wealthiest. Undoubtedly left leaning, because there is no other way to depict the systemic destruction of the working class and their "habitat", it should be an eye opener for middle class libertarians. It also offers an human level and non judgemental peak into the spirit of those from the zeroed former industrial areas who put their hopes in Trump, and how corporate democrats have betrayed their base leading to 2016 debacle. It also offers plenty of sources to continue the journey. Thanks Mr Peabody for this masterpiece of education.
