Okayish.

Most of Punjabi movies try to portray that stakes are very high when from a practical point of view there is nothing at stake. Sometimes this results in superb comedy but also in unpalatable drama like this one.

Bit of a let down

Having just watched Angrej, I had high hopes for Ashke but ultimately it was just a time-filler.

Weak plot, subpar acting. Really comes across as a low budget movie. There are better Punjabi films available!

The institution ( Khalsa college amritsar ) shown in the movie, where Pamma ( amrinder gill ) is studying, is his real college where he used to do bhangda. Also, the bhangda team in the movie, is a real college team.

Goofs
In Inter-College competition in SSK College for girls, host says, "third and last invitation for Bhangra to Khalsa College" but in results Khalsa College don't won any position in top three.
