Joan Jett takes on AC/DC

"Dirty Deeds" is Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' late-1980s cover of AC/DC's iconic 1970s song Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. For whatever reason, Joan Jett chose to shorten the title, but otherwise, the song remains faithful to the original. Covering this track is no easy task-AC/DC's version is explosive, catchy, and unmistakably unique.

Even for the queen of rock 'n' roll, this one is a challenge, and I feel this version falls short. It just doesn't deliver the same adrenaline rush. The polished 1980s aesthetic-with its bright lighting, stylized outfits, and big-stage presence-doesn't quite fit the gritty spirit of the song. And I can't help but miss Angus Young's mischievous energy and his signature duckwalk, which brought so much character to the AC/DC's performance of the song.
