Son is a thought provoking science fiction short film, which also doubles as a social commentary, with a great script and good direction. The movie really shows how self destructive today's society is and also shows how strong is a parent-child bond. The science in the movie was explained nicely without any complexities. Everyone involved in this film did a great job in bringing it out, considering its budget. Indresh Singh and Rishabh Nayan deserves special applause for their script. This film is worth a watch for every kind of people. Please let me know of your opinon about the movie, if you've watched it, through the comments section.
The film has beautiful cinematography and occasional peaks of high drama.
The relationship of father and son has shown in the midst of all tention and chaos .... Its end is little different.
One of the greatest aspects of a movie is its grip which SON very well maintains to keep. The characters have all briefly been introduced and hints towards their overall personality in a very delicate but detailed manner despite the length of the movie. The movie is a work of decent VFX and graphics with great acting by the main lead. It explores the true sides of people which is revealed only with the coming of the impending doom. Their true self takes over their otherwise presented self. There are neat shots with nice cinematographic panning. The title is very aptly justified as it is a one word explanation of the cycle of events happening in the movie. It's definitely a must watch and despite the dose of scientific fiction in it, it can be enjoyed by all kinds of viewers and satisfies multiple genres. The only flaw of the movie is also it's strong point as it doesn't satisfy the viewer's curiosity and leaves them wanting for more. The twist at the end is an unanticipated climax which is the perfect ending the film could have had. Somewhat a bittersweet end, where one can't be happy, but can neither be sad
One thing is for sure, this movie deserves a watch before anyone forms a notion. A gripping story blended with amazing thought process. Considering the shoe-string budget and the back-end resources available, it's an incredible attempt to something which is way ahead in the future.
