Episode #1.2

The second episode. Adam still cannot get over the mistake he made by sending the pregnant patient home without doing a blood test.

He is practicing defensive medicine and that makes his superiors irate. It is a waste of precious resources.

However his caution comes to his aid where one delivery gets tricky. Mr Lockhart knows just what to do.

Adam soon learns that he faces a complaint. It causes consternation in his love life.

A mixture of black comedy, exasperation and desperation. I can't' say it is fun but Ben Whishaw definitely makes it watchable.

The episode starts with a missing swab after a caesarean. At a dinner party Adam mistakenly blurts out the sex of a baby after seeing the photo of the scans.

No wonder Adam tries to take up smoking.
