While away on business I need to occupy my time and film screenings are a great one. I managed to watch this little gem during something called the creepy crypt or something to that effect. It's one of those found footage things and after seeing several good reviews online I was quite excited when leaving my hotel room to go and see it. The crowd were lively, the location was a bit cramp but okay but the movie was terrible. I wasn't going to leave a review but the creators are very vocal about putting reviews on here and/or redbox so I indulge. It's a dark gloomy film with no character its all been done before and I don't understand why people make these movies. Found footage is dead, its been done time and time again and needs a rest.
To summarize it's not as bad as some of the stuff my hubby has made me watch over the years but since I had netflix in my hotel room I should have stayed there.

I love found footage, and I love low budget films, but this one misses the mark at nearly every turn. It's an anthology with a interwoven story tying everything together, like the V/H/S movies do. The first segment here has a few decent scares, but they are jump scares. The rest of the segments were an absolute chore to get through and incredibly disappointing. The story that ties them all together actually has a really cool premise that is pretty creepy. The issue was that by the end, when it actually starts to get creepy, I was so checked out from being irritated and bored. The only redeeming part of this film was ruined for me. I gave this film 3 stars because the interwoven story actually had creativity and potential.
I just watched this one of the streaming services me and the missus use and it's so bad I felt I had to come on here and warn people! I've seen some bad found footage movies over the years in fact I think you expect them to be bad but this one is the pits. It's like they decided to just rip scenes from other movies, mash them altogether and call it a film. And why is their no cast and crew on display? The whole thing is very shifty, was this a tax write off or something? Either way it's the worst film I've ever seen and I hope the creator stops at this and doesn't make any more movies.
I love extremely obscure homegrown and indie projects, especially found footage ones, so I decided to support the creator and watch this little film. A lot of people have called it things like "one of the scariest movies" and "one of the best found footage films," it is absolutely not any of those things. Some have called it "generic" and "trashy" and "amateur," and it is all of those things to a certain extent. That being said, I found this film to be quite charming for what it was. I really enjoyed the first two segments, and the frame narrative was very interesting, although I felt that the third segment wasn't very good. The overuse of jumpscares is also really cheesy and lame, although that's mainly just because I'm not easily startled. I wasn't expecting anything on the level of the VHS series or the Blair Witch, so I'm able to look past its lower quality, in fact I actually have a soft spot for trashy indie stuff. It's probably in large part due to my rose-tinted glasses when it comes to found footage and indie stuff, but yeah, fun film.
Uglier than Blair Witch
More poorly written than Skew
Less original than Paranormal Activity
This is by far the worst found footage movie I've ever seen. The genre still has legs and there are still original movies using it but these creators decided to play it safe and remake the same tired plot thats been done a thousand time prior. Difference is they decided to make it an anthology which did the film no favours at all and just gave them an excuse why there is no character development or movie depth.
