This movie was a copy kat of, "The Strangers".
Some parts kept me watching. However, the ending was not great at all. This move would of benefited with a better ending or better dialogue with the character. At first it seemed the wife was crazy. Confusion, say the least. Actors not bad.
The back story of their couple having a miscarriage does not blend well with the horror theme of maniac killers. The couple isn't likable enough and the killers aren't terrifying enough. Nothing really happens in this movie until 30 min from the end. When the credits rolled I sat there in silence for a moment thinking, "well that just sucked".
It feels like, at times, these folks wanted to make a good, tense film. Some scenes work, in that respect. Most of the time, however, stupid decisions amongst the two leads are carried-through.
Where these two main characters-a wife and husband-are well-written, as people, the rest of the movie has some of the most bizarrely dumb moments to it. One of the most unintended, hilarious lines in the film is the killer knocking on the door, asking in a Fire Marshall Bill voice, "Can I borrow some sugar?"
The film feels like a total rip-off of the classic "The Strangers". That movie felt full, and well-rounded. This film has sharp edges that poke you. No one likes that.
Movie was just plain dull. And dull can be worse than straight-up bad, sometimes.

The first scene is intense, frightening, and creepy. The rest of the movie...not so much.
Cringe-inducing horrible acting, terrible pacing, and and after more than half the movie of build up and 'tension', no major payoff. The relationship between the two leads is weird and forced. I get that they've just gone through a loss, but it's portrayed in a very stilted and unnatural manner. It was as if it was written by someone who'd only ever read about that happening to people and now was trying to portray it on screen. The film is also shot very amateurishly, with corny slo-mo and messy angles when the violence finally starts going down. I like 'bad' horror movies, but bad in a good way. This was not that. This was just terrible.
