This is a self-promoting show disguised as a designing show . The purpose of this show seems to be , her proving to the world that she's happy and has a new husband -who I don't think is all that, have you see her ex husband lately ?hotdam! The divorced suit him well- she picks the same old gray and white cabinets. She needs coaching and can't stick to a budget . Just a snooze fest that keeps getting promoted who knows why. She can't compare to the other ladies from hgtv no matter how much the keep showing her .
We've watched all of the Flip Or Flops. It's a watchable show and when Christina speaks directly to the camera, she's not very good. But, overall we thought she was the big draw because of her looks, mostly.
Well, in this new show, she's fully exposed and it's not pretty.
It's more of a social media Hollywood look at me, I'm pretty, show. One thing for sure, she'll never make it as an actress.

I am a long time viewer of HGTV, i.e. Home and Garden Television. The problem with Christina on the Coast is it's trying to be something else, a little bit "Keeping Up with the Kardashians", Christina's new life, new hair, flashy house and car. Meh. Her new boyfriend just seems stuck in at times to give him screen time and someone for her to talk to besides Tarek. And the design portion of the show seemed half hearted. HGTV should know by now what we watch, Chip and Joanna, yes. Property Brothers, yes. Nashville Flip is cute. Bring it down to earth, less "I went Hollywood, look at me!"
This show is not about her design skills it's about her life and wanting to be a reality show girl on the same lines as the Kardashians. She has no personality. Her and her ex-husband had a great show with flip or flop he pulled the show together. This is all about her....new house new car new husband but seriously lacking.
I'm going to go against most of the reviews by saying I don't mind the personal segments about her life. I actually prefer them over watching her pretend to be a designer while charging people tens of thousands of dollars for extremely basic, I'd say even common sense, designs. There is a difference between an actual designer and someone who has an unlimited budget picking out pretty, shiny things and making a room look pretty and shiny. In the most recent episode, where she helps the couple that she's friends with and are redoing their entire main floor, do their master suite, I feel like her lack of designing skills are really obvious. The couple designed their main floor, and it turned out beautifully. It was very modern and industrial and the colors and style worked so nicely. Christina's bathroom was extremely basic. Marble counters ✔ glass shower✔ herringbone floor✔ nothing new or unique. The wall tile was ugly and clunky and didn't look good at all. She somehow made the room look very dark, despite most of the design being white. I just wish she would either take design seriously and actually try to learn something, or admit that she's not a real designer.
