This isn't a review of the film, but a comment on one aspect of it.
Whoever was responsible for the sound needs to go back to film school. It was very difficult trying to hear what anyone was saying for most of the film : almost every line sounded like it was being delivered by someone with a mouth full of cotton wool, a bunged-up noise, and a bucket on their head (worst culprit was main villain Gino Anthony Pesi). And that was even before the awful music started DROWNING EVERYTHING OUT.

Loud music plays throughout the entire movie and you can barely hear the actors speaking. The sound is way off in this movie. Very distracting.
This movie made me laugh so hard. I loved it 😅😂 you have clues as to how poor quality it is at the beginning. Note that "Anna's" mother is so dumb and clueless she seems to have early onset dementia .
The fun really begins though when Nick comes back on the scene. Literally every reaction of every person is totally illogical. The motel front counter lady also seems to suffer from dementia sadly and has no understanding of any situation she's put in. A scene where the mother who goes into the police station to report her son missing and in the hands a known killer but just can't bring herself to report it because, how will all this reflect upon her? Also this is filmed in a world with no 911 service where everyone must solve their own problems themselves. Such fun. All three stars were for the unintentional comedy.

The plot is totally predictable and it's obviously a low-budget thriller, but I still found it thoroughly entertaining. Perfect for a late-night guilty pleasure. The sound had problems and parts of the movie were definitely laughable, but it is what it is. Just what I wanted. And the acting wasn't half bad.
This film should be taught in every film school as what NOT to do when making a film.
1. The plot is played-out and predictable. 2. The hair and wardrobe is atrocious on every "actor," especially the wigs for the main character in the flashback sequences. 3. The acting is horrendous and overdone. Soap opera-esque without the talent. 4. The Score is way too loud for normal people to actually want to sit through this garbage, hence me watching 20 minutes and then realising it's not going to get better. I fast-forwarded to see if I was correct, and I was. 5. The writing is the worst I think I've ever seen (and I WORK in film.) The opening scene was a major tip-off at how terrible this film would be. Always go with your gut.
Save your time and hearing and avoid watching this film. And that one 10/10 that is up here? That's clearly someone who has money invested in this rubbish film's way of hoping to recoup any costs wasted on this joke of a film.
