Granted, without ever having heard about the 2025 horror movie "Night Mistress", I opted to watch it, as I had the opportunity to do so. Yeah, I am a fan of all things horror after all.
But oh boy, talk about a swing and a miss from writer and director Philip Cable. This movie's storyline was insanely boring and pointless. And it was literally a struggle to sit through the movie, as nothing happened, neither scary things or even interesting things. So yeah, this was not a stellar horror movie experience.
Of the entire cast ensemble in the movie, I was only familiar with Brinke Stevens. Yeah, I've seen far too many low budget movies since I am familiar with the likes of her. The acting performances in the movie were dull, lifeless and felt most of all like the actors and actresses themselves didn't buy into the script.
Visually, just forget about it. There was nothing to write home about in terms of special effects in "Night Mistress".
If you enjoy horror movies, take heed and give this movie a wide, wide berth. It just simply isn't worth spending 84 minutes on watching.
The movie's cover was actually the best thing about this dumpster fire.
My rating of writer and director Philip Cable's laughable attempt at making a horror movie lands on a one out of ten stars. And how this abysmal movie has managed to land a 5.0 rating here on IMDb, as of this very moment as I am writing the review, is just simply mind-boggling and beyond mortal comprehension.
