This film was a rollicking thriller. I know that seems like an oxymoron but it was funny, fast paced and had a story line that kept me engaged throughout the film. The style is immediately defined when we meet the main characters. To top it all off, the movie has this great Shakespearean ending. Check it out.
You know how you can tell a film's director by its distinctive style? I believe that Stephen Morgan will be one of these directors. Be on the look out for more of his stuff.
This movie had a Guy Ritchie feel the whole way through. Big fan of the way it paced. Family dynamics between the two main characters was fun. For a movie that's barely an hour, character development was well done and focused where it needed to. Cooled me off to watch this movie in the beautiful backdrop of snowy, small-town Colorado as I bake in the Florida August heat. It's lots of fun and I even learned a thing or two about gold.
A very impressive indie film with a catchy story, well developed characters, and a satisfying ending. A visionary escapist delight.
This movie kicks into high gear almost immediately. With smart banter and witty dialogue, I had multiple laugh out loud moments in between the chaos and gun fights. Overall, for a low-budget independent film, this movie was exceptional!

- TriviaThe original title for this film was Black, Red, Gold. The screenplay was a much more serious and slow burning drama. After the production team decided to push back the production date from March 2018 to November 2018, they shot a short film written by Isaac Walsh. This short film turned out to be much more self aware and fast paced, which inspired a re-write of the script to add levity and 4th wall breaks.
