As each episode ended, I was curious what would happen next. The animated series is very nice, the music is catchy even as the antagonists attack the main characters, some episodes were suspenseful, especially those that are approaching the last episode.
Hongmao looks a bit like Jim Hawkins from the animated series "The Legends of Treasure Island". The beginning of the first episode is reminiscent of excerpts from animated films such as "The Lion King (1994)" and "Tarzan (1999)".
There are also sequels in which there are other antagonists such as the bronze hyena with two sabers and the gray panther in an even later sequel, there is also a sequel in which the main characters besides Hongmao and Lantu fell into the fountain and became children, but that was already stretched. If I would choose, I choose the first animated series, where the main antagonist is Black Hearted Tiger.
