Anjaan: Special Crimes Unit

The reason I gave it a 8, even though it is cliche at times and relies a lot on established horror tropes, is because of how unique the cases are. There is something about the way they tell the stories that is very uniquely Indian, while still being reminiscent of other paranormal shows like X-files and Supernatural. I liked the individual cases a lot, even though I didn't care for the grand subplot (the Yellow eyed demon storyline). It was like a trip down memory lane for me, since I have such fond memories of watching paranormal shows in my teen years. I would recommend this series if you are interested in Indian folklore, and don't mind a slightly outdated approach to paranormal storytelling. I personally prefer it.

All you CID lovers, don't cry if it's over. Anjaan has come at the right time to fill the void. All those paranormal shows lover or horror fans who also enjoy crime and thrill, this is a well packed entertainment which will not make you leave your seat.

P.S: Those who think shows like this are lame, move on no ones asking you to watch. Sometimes watching with an empty brain is useful.

Anjaan 2018 way better than the earlier season which have a good storyline, one main villain and twist and turns. How two police officers trying to solve this supernatural activity and crimes. Anjaan don't allow the viewers to loose their interest.

Initially, when i started watching i felt its just a normal horror series, but the way it progressed, I started liking the episodes one after the other, though it's not perfect, but it's a great the effort in Indian Series. Just completed around 7 episodes, excited to watch the remaining episodes on Netflix. I would have preferred Shivani over Aditi to pair with Vikrant.

Anjaan: Special Crimes Unit is hands down the best paranormal show ever made in Indian television content. What sets it apart is not just the unique blend of crime and supernatural elements, but also the way it was presented with intensity and realism.

The lead characters, ACP Vikrant and ASP Aditi, delivered excellent performances that carried the series throughout. Their chemistry, conviction, and dedication to solving cases involving the unexplained made the storyline even more gripping. Both actors brought depth and credibility to their roles, making the audience connect with them on an emotional level while keeping the suspense alive.

The show's atmosphere, background score, and storytelling kept viewers hooked, and unlike other paranormal dramas, it avoided unnecessary exaggeration. Instead, it gave us intelligent, well-written episodes that balanced crime investigation with genuine chills.

For me, Anjaan: Special Crimes Unit set a benchmark for paranormal thrillers in Indian content. Even today, it remains unmatched and is fondly remembered as a cult classic.
