Nevermore

Danny D and Dick Bush team up once again for a fantastical tale, as loaded with horror character mash ups as any episode of that fine Showtime series "Penny Dreadful". Its hectic pace and rapid-fire handling of story events (perhaps due to Digital Playground post-production interference is overcome by solid performances and ok special effects.

It was great to see lovely Natalia Starr (without her sister Natasha) get a leading role for a change, playing a lady out to save our world against an onslaught of creatures with bad intentions invading us from Nevermore, a sort of world of the dead. For episodic porn purposes (Dig. Playground is interested in streaming website content, with DVDs almost an afterthought these days), the story is presented as a series of cases for Natalia the private eye to handle, abetted by her trusty if dead assistant Bunny (sexily and humorously portrayed by lovely, busty Carla Pryce).

Alyssa Divine is smashing as an ambiguous character of Death, whose double-dealing with Natalia is a key to the potboiler story line. Our plucky heroine also goes up against her evil ex-partner Luke Hardy as well as a succubus on the loose essayed by Liza Del Sierra. Liza is sexy as ever, but has lost her perfect figure due apparently to too many soirees on the banquet circuit and is credited on screen, for no apparent reason, as Liza Del Rae.

Danny D, who also produced under his AHusseyXXX banner, hams it up as a nutty scientist and manages to whip out his big dick for the fans' benefit. A big role (NonSex) as put-upon wife of a bad guy went uncredited, but I would make an educated guess that it's played by crew member Sophia Knight. Also uncredited is a brief vampire cameo by Bush regular Ella Hughes.
