The film is based on the acclaimed book, Dakkuan da Munda, an autobiography of the famous writer and journalist Mintu Gurusariya. Mintu became a drug addict when he was a young Kabbadi player. Exposure to drugs also introduced him to the crime market. But today, he is an inspiration for the youth and their families as he managed to come out of his shell and break his ties with drugs and crime.

An inspiring true story on fighting drug addiction

This is a Punjabi language biographical film about drug addiction.

The film story stays quite honest and realistic. And really an eye opener to how drugs can impact your life. In a state like Punjab battling against drug addiction in its youth population, this is a much needed eye opener. All youth across the world should watch and learn from this inspiring true story. A story of how a promising athlete messes up his life in drug addiction. How he fell to the lowest depths of self esteem in the process. And also how he then fights back and straightens up his life.

The lead act Dev K has performed well. The overall direction of the film though looks amateurish. But that shouldn't downplay the value and importance of such a film. Must watch!

Story is the soul!

Dev has proved once again that besides comedy..other genres can survive in Punjabi industry. The story is the soul of the movie as it is based on the real life events of Mintu Gurasuria. It is his story from being a kabaddi player/topper in academics to gangs/drug addict and then again to a journalist. The movie is very entertaining and watchable. The actions sequences and songs are all beautiful. The female lead doens't have much to do rest all other characters does a decent job. A must watch of 2018 as the year was full of crap comedies!

A solid watch

Not a typical Punjabi comedy.

It is a proper/real drama movie with only situational based songs. You will not get bored with the movie, that is for sure.

My 2nd Dev Khroud movie after Gandhi. It is not a 80min movie, it is full fledge story with surprisingly no missing scenes/story.

Amazing film

Dev Kharoud is simply amazing in this film. It is my favorite film with him I love his acting and also I want to say congrats to the director and whole crew of this film!
