Good Money In The Bank PPV

It was quite good ppv. It's so much much better than the last ppv Backlash. Most of the matches was good. I didn't care for the smackdown women's title match. The ending to that match was stupid. I would definitely recommend fans to give it a watch.

WWE Money in the Bank: Another underwhelming ppv

For the sake of this review I'll break it down (No spoilers)

Bludgeon Brothers vs the Good Brothers

Now for me the Bludgeons are fantastic and I can't believe its been this long for them to use them correctly, but the gimmick is terrible and really damaging for me. Flipside we have Gallows & Anderson who should have stayed in Japan, they are wasted here. The match was rushed, uneventful and did few favours for anyone.

    Daniel Bryan vs Big Cass

Cass is going nowhere fast, he's the kind of heel who gets booed fiercely because people genuinely don't like him and not because they're supposed to. He's mediocre in the ring, weak on the mic and as this match demonstrated is a really poor seller. Now in big guy vs little guy matches you generally have a certain dynamic that you follow, here they decided to throw that out that window. Yes the match was better than their last encounter and as a whole better than you'd expect but I'm left feeling that the losers career is going nowhere fast and this fued did nothing for them.

    Bobby Lashley vs Sami Zayn

I'm a Zayn fan, I hate seeing him used poorly and he has been ever since getting called up from NXT. Then you have Lashley, a guy who in his last run bored the hell out of me! He went to TNA developed his skills and came out the other end an improved performer but still not exactly anything higher than a B player. Bringing him back was logical, booking him the way they have is not. This short, pitiful match was an embarassing finale was 100% predictible and a slap in the face to the fans.

Intercontinental Championship Seth Rollins (c) vs Elias

I like Elias, the guy has that rare ability to connect to the fans to such a degree he gets boo'd, cheered and has people reciting his catchphrase all in one single promo. Thus far he's not exactly been booked consistently but it was nice to see him in the title picture. Rollins and Elias put on a solid match and certainly one of the better of the night.

    Womens Money In The Bank

Rumours had been circulating about the winner on the internet for weeks and I was left hoping they weren't true from the outset. Every girl (Even Lana) went all out in the match and delivered quite a few outstanding memorable spots including an Ember Moon springboard cross body to Sasha Banks onto a ladder that looked deeply painful. The fans weren't happy with the outcome, but I was entertained enough that I didn't care.

    Roman Reigns vs Jinder Mahal

Another offensively 100% predictible match that had chants of boring and zero interaction from the crowd. Nobody wanted to see this match and it was as bad as people expected.

Smackdown Womens Championship Carmella (c) vs Asuka

Another match where internet rumours were circulating and I was deeply hoping they were false. Now my main gripe here is just how competitive they made Carmella look. Remember the character she is supposed to play and what Asuka is supposed to be, so why was this not entirely one sided. Sadly the match didn't deliver, was very underwhelming and the ending was a train wreck.

WWE Championship AJ Styles (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura

I had a prediction for this match, in fact I was really quite confident about it. My prediction was because it was logical. WWE do not use logic, and my prediction was incorrect. Instead the two men delivered a solid bout but still not even remotely close to their NJPW bout. Hopefully this fued is over and both men can move onto something more fitting if they aren't going to book it smart.

RAW Womens Championship Nia Jax (c) vs Ronda Rousey

I hate the booking leading to this. So we have Rousey whose entire character has been built around this "No special treatment, no perks in my contract, I'll work for everything I get, I'm just one of the girls" character then her very first singles match is for the title? Give me a break. And then we have Nia who only just turned face for her fued with Bliss and now she's turning heel suddenly for Rousey? It makes no sense and is simply bad booking. So what could they possibly do here? Take the title off Nia so quickly making her a transitional champion? That would be dumb. But you also can't have their main attraction Ronda Rousey losing her debut match! You've also got the still very green Rousey vs the limited big woman Jax so the match was likely to be terrible. This was a logically hard one to book but to their credit it was okay, it was better than I expected and have to hand it to Rousey that she is coming along nicely and I just hope she sticks around. The finale wasn't entirely shocking, but I was happy with it.

    Mens Money In The Bank

When the womens Money In The Bank is stupidly better in quality than the mens when you have the likes of Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Kofi Kingston and Bobby Roode in you've done something very badly wrong. And they had, very very wrong. The whole match revolved around one man, and that man won. It did nothing for anyone and the winner simply didn't need this. Bad, bad, bad.

So to summarize MITB was yet another average ppv with more snaps than pops overshadowed by the superior NXT Takeover: Chicago

    • Trivia
The match between Roman Reigns and Jinder Mahal was so unwell received by the crowd, they soundly booed throughout most of the match, started chanting things that had nothing to do with the match or the participants (except for "Borrrr-ing", "This is awful!", and "End the match!"), started doing the wave, and reportedly someone snuck a beach ball in the arena, blew it up, and had it bouncing around off camera.
    • Goofs
When Nia Jax stood up after her match and looked angry upon Alexa she incorrectly held her right arm as if it were injured. Ronda Rousey held her left arm in an arm bar. She then realized her mistake and switched arms and held her left arm. On camera you can clearly see her switching arms.
