It's a worthwhile topic this episode addresses, and the message is welcome, but it's very straightforward. Much as you expect from Zombie Simpsons. I might have laughed once. I just finished watching and I don't even remember.
A laugh out loud moment to start with at the Bob's Burgers reference, but it quickly went downhill. The star rating refers to this.
A Ned backstory? They already gave him (a much better one) many years prior. This episode seemed totally unnecessary. The episode POV from God and St Peter was preachy and boring as hell. Do they really need so many "church" episodes?
One redeeming feature was Moe kissing the fish. That gave me a chuckle. Although I was trying to work out if it was a (very outdated) parody of Inglorious Basterds? 10 years late and barely amusing.

Nothing in this Simpsons episode was funny to me and I usually like the show. Making God a main character was really poor judgment.
I really enjoyed this epsiode and thought it was a good examination of different beliefs on what happens after we die. The comedy was solid, especially the whole WWII story and I also think this was good timing for a crossover with bob's burgers! A definite recommend.
Cancel the show already. It's just sad... Now The Simpsons has a religious agenda? Give up.

- TriviaLike most cartoons, the people in the Simpsons have 4 fingered hands (3 fingers and 1 thumb), and similarly 4 toed feet, as it is widely found to be difficult to fit in 5 fingers so that they look correct and the hand doesn't look large and crowded. However, here both God and Jesus have 5-fingered hands and 5 toed feet.
- GoofsIn the credits, Aldrine Guerrero's credit misspells "ukulele" as "ukelele".
