This podcast is a must-listen for anyone seeking to understand the world through a lens of clarity and intellectual honesty, earning it a flawless 10/10.
Each episode feels like sitting down for coffee with a brilliant friend who's unafraid to challenge conventional wisdom. Adams' "persuasion filter" is a game-changer, dissecting current events-politics, culture, and beyond-with a focus on how narratives are crafted and what drives human behavior. His ability to break down complex issues into digestible insights is both engaging and enlightening, making you rethink how you process information. Whether he's tackling controversial topics like political strategies, media biases, or global conflicts, Adams remains measured, humorous, and thought-provoking, encouraging listeners to weigh ideas for themselves.
His background as a trained hypnotist and author of books like "Win Bigly" and "Loserthink" and "Reframe Your Brain" shines through, offering practical tools for sharpening your mental toolkit-perfect for anyone looking to build their "talent stack."
Production-wise, the podcast is straightforward and effective, focusing on Adams' voice and ideas without unnecessary fluff. Each episode provides 50-70 minutes of value packed information. The availability of bonus content on Locals adds even more depth for dedicated fans.
What sets Coffee with Scott Adams apart is its fearless commitment to questioning the status quo while maintaining a lighthearted, optimistic tone. Adams' mantra, "All you need is a cup or a mug or a glass, a tankard or chalice or stein, a canteen jug or a flask, a vessel of any kind, fill it with your favorite liquid," invites you into the simultaneous sip ritual that's as much about mental clarity as it is about enjoying your morning brew. This podcast doesn't just inform-it empowers you to see the world differently. Scott is usually insightful, often funny, always worth listening to. It's more like hanging out with your friend than a standard podcast. It looks like these podcasts might be coming to an end, and I will treasure every one I listened to. If you're new to Scott, checkout his back list of previous episodes, there's thousands of hours worth at this point. He always was, and remains one of my heroes.
Scott is also the creator of the enigmatic Dilbert Cartoons, which he still does everyday. He also does a new comic strip called robots read news on his locals platform, which go well with the coffee with scott adams episodes.
The last ten years of episodes have been really crazy, I've been all over the place with this guy, through the ups and downs in my life, he even responded to me once on one of the episodes. I really think this show is a microcosm of everything that's been going on in culture since 2016, I bet these things will be studied by historians one day.

Scott uses warmth and outrage to persuade thinking on a myriad of topics in the news and about personal issues. Honored to have preceded him at Cal so I feel especially connected. He has shared personal tragedies and victories. And as he states his super power is that he cannot be made to feel embarrassed. His recent health revelations are sobering and add value to what he says. The community of followers are elevated when exceptional points of view are made. The hope is that he will make a recovery and that time will be added so humankind can even further benefit from his ideas and writings. An American hero for sure!

A daily review of the news and world events, delivered through the filter of persuasion. Questions the narrative of the MSM, and helps you to clarify your own thinking process.
You will be trained to recognize such things as "thinking past the sale", performing "mind reading", holding "halfpinions", and who the "dedicated liars" are. You will start to see when news stories are "too on the nose" to be true.
You will be trained to use your ego as a tool - something that you can ramp up or down as needed. You will learn that analogies are good for explaining new concepts, but terrible for persuasion.
You will be taught to build your own "talent stack", to maximize your value with a unique set of skill sets.
You will become a better person.

- TriviaAfter a long string of Periscope videos, Scott Adams provided the same material as a podcast with the umbrella title of "Coffee with Scott Adams", thus turning the videos into an official series that began 24 March, 2018. He abandoned the podcast on April 26, 2018, with episode 34, but then revived it on May 9. And so the videos made before the series, and some of them made during the hiatus, are listed on IMDb as standalone titles. (Note that many, if not all, the videos made during the hiatus were later added to the podcast.)
