Victim blaming and (host) Donal MacIntyre's personal opinions overshadow everything

Watching this series it soon becomes evident that the host Donal MacIntyre is trying to up his own importance. Throughout the series he is constantly referring to his expert panel as "colleagues". Instead of interviewing the experts and allowing them to share their professional opinions, the host Donal MacIntyre inserts himself into the experts conversation. While he continuously interject and belittles their opinion. It seems Donal MacIntyre is more concerned with creating drama and having his narrow minded worldview affirmed.

At the start of every episode the Donal MacIntyre starts the show by saying "I have travelled to (insert town name) to find out how this tragedy could've happened. Donal MacIntyre then spends the entire episode speculating about the intentions of the subjects of the episode. More often than not Donal MacIntyre blames the victims. In every episode the expert panel seems to have to explain the concept of victim blaming and that they should refrain from blaming the victims.

At the end of the episode Donal MacIntyre will share his half baked "insights", which are so prejudicial towards people who use social media that Donal MacIntyre comes as across as a troglodyte cave man.

The reason why I keep using Donal MacIntyre's name so many times is that it doesn't appear on IMDB and I think he should take responsibility for his views

I gave this 2 stars instead of one because of the families of the victims who appear on screen. If not for them, I would've loved to give this garbage 0 stars

I couldn't even make it through episode 1

The focus was heavily on the mistakes and decisions of the victims and little else. They refer constantly to the rape and murder of a 15 year old girl as being a result of her own behavior and her own fault.

Virtually nothing was mentioned about the awful behavior of the predators who harmed her. Everything they go over that related to the victim circles back to "and this is why she was killed."

The highly unprofessional setting made me reluctant immediately and it just kept getting worse. The "experts" that joined in shouted over each other and fought about whose theories were right. The narrator smiles when he talks about how nobody reported a young girl being attacked. He tries to make himself out to be some hero solving a case that has already been taken care of, but instead just keeps reiterating his beliefs that this young girl caused her own rape and murder.

Overall, highly disappointing. I would absolutely not recommend it, there are better shows out there.

    Terrible viewing

Nothing more than an hour of British accents redoing the evening news.

    Victim Blaming!

This show victim blames the entire time rather than blaming the perpetrators. They speak about victims like it is their fault and speak about the rapists and the murderers like they had no other choice. This show is part of the problem.

No clue what the other reviewers were watching!

Did not find this show "victim blaming" at all! More cautionary tales, and DEFINITELY blames the perpetrators! The experts are knowledgeable and point out the errors in society in general, the psychology of criminal minds, and the faults with the police and social media!
