It's badly acted, directed, everything Fenn seems to touch is god awful, as I expected. Lead character is the type of generic actor that had the looks, but just missed out on a role on the bold and the beautiful due to the Corona Virus shut down. The camera angles choices were often odd, and not in a good way, the storyline races thru certain important scenes, sits forever on other longer boring scenes, like at the bar, or chatting while fishing...it just never gets remotely interesting...sister dying of heroin, 2 scenes = 3min. Having a cigarette in he smoking area = 8 minutes and counting. Sorry i cant sum up the whole load of excrement, but I couldn't get thru it...avoid avoid and avoid.
This movie plot had great potential but suffered from a lack of action.
I ended up picking up my phone about an hour in and it just never really grabbed me.
Not the worst I've seen but I wouldn't reccomend.

Cheap movie, primitive plot, bad acting. Who are these people who put 10/10? The film crew?
Wow. I've never been so fooled by a high IMDB score. I should have read the reviews too. Every minute you spend watching this movie is a minute you'll wish you had back.
It starts out very slow - and never picks up. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen but it just plodded along. And in the few cases where something did happen - such as when a civilian set up a roadblock to stop cars and search them - I could not suspend my disbelief.
The writers managed to make every character into a shallow, boring caricature of a person. Even the lady who lost two sons to opiate overdoses was barely sympathetic and quickly became tiresome.
Giving it 2 stars to be generous.

Yes, the acting is very meh.
Yes, there is a bit of religious meh involved.
But the 'Message' about legalized Opiod abuse is 'Very there' It is a powerful film about a small town facing an epidemic of legal drug abuse, & how the deal with it.
In my opinion the Big farma may ( tinfoil hat time ) negatively rate this low budget, throw away rental True(ish) story.
