I enjoy this show. The first couple of times I watched this, I also thought the contestants could be actors (some were over the top), but I've watched more episodes, and see that the players are just very peppy and enthusiastic. The host is very good at interacting with the contestants. It's similar to Family Feud, but I think this show is much more family friendly and I think kids would enjoy watching this too. Glad to see that GSN has added a second half hour of the show (replaying the first episodes that I missed). I hope that GSN will renew for an additional season.
I've searched long and hard to determine from where their answers come, but to no avail! Some of their answers are totally absurd! ...and why isn't the "Grand Prize" easily divisible by four, such as $16,000 (or $20,000) for instance?!
This show grows on you. The host has a nice dry sense of humor. The teams are likable. It favorably compares to Family Feud, which has become needlessly raunchy and somewhat disgusting in recent years. I like how the question is visible on the board, unlike on Feud. It helps my hard-of-hearing family member play along.
This show is way too cheap, the final price is only 15000 and they make it super hard. There will always be an weird hard answer that nobody knows. 9 out 10 times the team will lose.
I always thought this show looked dumb on the commercials but I started watching it and it grows on you. John Michael Higgins is a good host. He has a nice dry sense of humor and makes funny, witty comments when contestants give ridiculous answers. He is also very professional, unlike Steve Harvey. It's entertaining trying to guess the blanks and can be pretty challenging. Whoever wins gets $1,000 (divided by 4 people = $250 if you lose) And if you win you get an additional $15,000, so total $16,000 (divided by 4 only $4,000 each) and it's never a whole family, it's always a mix or a group of 4 friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. So maybe if the prize was at least like $60k that would be better cause then it'd be $15,000 per person. And they should make the first prize higher too. Most people don't even win the grand prize. Overall it's okay when nothing else is on. I'd still rather watch family feud though.
