    THE MASSES RULE

Designed for mass appeal at the lowest level. Simon Cowell has found the saddest of back stories, the cheesiest acts beyond processed cheese, plus a total corn field. Obviously he thought this low low formula is rock solid. But maybe he has set the bar too low this time. Can only hope!

Contrived and over-produced? Yes! But so much fun and feels!

Jog on if you're looking for high level, top of the dance school trained dancers. TGD offers up feel good, cheesy back stories with performances that crescendo, hopefully, with the votes of the audience triggering 'the mirrors' of the studio opening. The judges are amply enthusiastic and constructive whilst the hosts supply the audience with in the moment reactions from family and fans.

We'll see what future shows offer but for now it's feel good fun for the drab winter!

    Amazing talent

I love this show. The dancers are so talented and it's the audience who votes them in or out. The feedback from the judges is spot on unlike the self satisfying judges on The Voice. Great Saturday night entertainment.

    I love this program

True some dancers are not great but shows everyone can if they want it enough

    Horrendous

Terrible format, 30 seconds of dancing to every 10 minutes of padding, stupid idea letting the audience decide who goes through, it's BGT without the dogs. The most gifted and talented are at the mercy of the populist sentimental vote - fat dancing dads - seriously? What's with the dippy receptionist? Just lost 40 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

    • Trivia
The British Broadcasting Corporation cancelled the dance competition after two series. Although the first series rated well enough to warrant a recommission the second series struggled against the UK version of The Masked Singer on ITV. The declining viewing figures and high production costs led to the decision not to commission a third series.
