A stellar work of dedication and passion

I was fortunate to catch this gem at the 2023 Ravenheart Film Festival in Oslo, and I was completely blown away.

Without going into detail of the story - which is simple, but fantasticly gripping and moving - the production is nothing short of mindblowing.

Utilising *only* practical effects, this young team of committed filmmakers dedicated years of their lives to produce a short film that will stay with me forever. Upon the ending not an eye was dry in the theatre, and the audience's collective jaws dropped in unison when "This film was made without the use of CGI" appeared at the end of the credits.

An absolute triumph.

The film was created entirely with practical effects, using a fish tank for the space images, a real robot puppeteered remotely with an exoskeleton and a PlayStation controller, miniature models for the spacecrafts and real scale sets for the spacecraft interiors. No CGI, 3D or animation was used.
