You Put a Spell on Me: Writing 'The Spell' (2017)

Writer Brian Taggert is interviewed for this thirteen-minute featurette, which has him talking about the 1977 movie THE SPELL. He starts off talking about the issues of people calling it a CARRIE rip-off. Taggert claims that he was unaware of the King novel and that he never read it until after he had written his movie. From here he talks about how THE SPELL was meant to be a theatrical film but the decision was made to throw it on television. He also shares some stories about the cast and crew as well as his thoughts on how the project turned out. For the most part this was an entertaining interview that at least had Taggert commenting on the whole CARRIE situation. I can't say that I fully believe him but either way this was a good interview that's worth watching.
