I have never seen a nature series about animals like this one before. Serengeti just set a new bar with their camera angles and the storyline is almost human. I can't wait for the next episode.
Amazing footage, but the commentary is just total pap, seriously underminng the experience. Really, people, do you need some hollywood smaltz to appreciate the amazing cauldron of African wildlife. Who was the overpaid braindead producer who wrecked this series ??
I found this series refreshingly different from other wildlife series, and I think it's unfair to keep making comparisons to David Attenborough.
The camera work is really good this series brings a different perspective on social life of the animals featured
I thoroughly enjoyed this series, in particular, the narration.
BBC have taken a bold and daring route by telling the animals lives using a narrative we all understand. With this approach there is continuity.
Not sure what the comment refers to "turning the animals into humans" ? It's factual, real and entertaining. If you don't like it turn it off. I've even seen reviewers saying where is David Attenborough. Really. It's the 21st century, let's move on.

I am really enjoying this series. I think it does a great job of explaining the social structure various animals have and issues within that structure they have to contend with.
The camera work is fantastic, overall the series is a visual delight!
Perhaps the show does stick to what some may refer to as a false narrative but I don't think it claims to be anything other than what it presents itself as. I think the addition of the 2 well known actors as narrators is a wonderful idea and something that may pull kids in to learn about these wonderful animals whereas the more intense documentaries may be too much for them.
