"Belushi's Toilet" is a brilliantly conceived film set in a near-term future in which the war on drugs has finally been declared a loss; everything and anything is now legal. On the low-down, pharmaceutical company brew master Mason responds to those conditions by attempting to craft the ultimate drug experience. It'll require human testing, so for the greater good, Mason and his mates step in to fill the traditional role of lab rats.
It's a fantastic and unexplored premise made fully realized by great storytelling, as "Belushi's Toilet" shrewdly avoids the trap of taking sides and moralizing, and instead projects this free-form world of all-legal drugs as a logical inevitability of existing trends.
Melding science fiction with our love of drug culture explorations, "Belushi's Toilet" offers the best of both worlds by creating one that's entirely its own.

If you've been there, you'll get it. If you haven't, it'll just seem like 2 hours of weirdness. Definitely not a date movie, unless your date is on LSD. Loved the all the main characters. Some real laugh-out-loud moments.
What a strange but engaging film. I found myself immediately drawn to the main characters in their search for the perfect drug. So many comments on our society strung throughout the film, and many times I wanted to stop the film to write down some of what I'd called quotables... (I will view the film again to capture these). It had some queasy moments, but since they made sense to the plot, it was tolerable (I tend to have a weak stomach)... Loved the shots of Toronto, too. Made the film seem all the more real. Memorable flick!
This film is completely deranged. I had no idea what was happening for most of the second half. It's like a Ren & Stimpy gross-out fused with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, only more confusing. A bewildering montage of drugs, vomiting, loud music, feces, unexplained mould growth, paranoia, and bad trip nightmares. The ending is utterly bizarre and makes zero sense. If you're into being very confused, and not prone to seizures, you'll probably enjoy it.
I'm having flashbacks! I think it's fair to say that how much you enjoy this movie is going to depend on how many drugs you have taken in your life. It's best described as a roller-coaster acid trip set in the future. It begins coherently and rapidly becomes somewhat incomprehensible, yet somehow seems to hang together. The old-school soundtrack is fantastic and will take you right back to the 90s rave days.
Quite entertaining. Surround yourself with the like-minded friends to watch it. It helps :)
I was surprised to see how much you can achieve from such a (comparatively) small budget.
