    AbiBelieve

The movie starts with a quick backstory and succession of events. The characters are a bit over the top and it captures your interest. Burn has a serious event, and we find ourselves far from Manila at a holiday camp. Abi the camp entrepreneur/manager/everything and Burn interact in various ways, trying to get to know each other. Slowly but surely a partnership evolves and we see the development of a real love interest. The scenery and environment of the holiday camp is beautiful, you can't help wanting to go for a swim. The plot is very clever and the end is quite unexpected but ultimately fits well. The film is about the real things of life, love of family, always striving to do your best, even if life seems to kick you in the face. I hope I run into Abi the next time I go for a coffee.

    Simply a Masterpiece

I have watched so many Filipino RomComs and this movie has now found itself in my top 5. I love how it seems like your typical love story but it really wasn't. I salute the director, actors and story writer for creating such a beautiful masterpiece. Everything is connected together splendidly. It took me on a journey of laughter, tears, and self-reflection.

Burn (Gerald) is your typical main character who has a dark, painful backstory. He then ends up at Happy Sunshine Camp where he meets Abi (Pia) - the most energetic girl who gives an all-out service and makes you pay the fee with a smile. I loved the cinematography and how beautiful the scenery was. There was plenty of corny, funny and kilig moments which ends up with them loving each other.

Then the plot twist happened. This is where I was in awe of Gerald's acting skills and wished I had more tissues.

I love how it ends the same way it started and completes a full circle. You realise the hidden links, foreshadowing and the meaning of the title. I left the movie theatre full of hope. This movie highlights social issues and the fact that everyone has their own problems but shouldn't give up. :)

PS Thank you for taking the time to read my long review.

    Not your typical pinoy romcom

Due to my mother being pinay I've seen my fair share of pinoy romcoms. And even though I might find them cheesy, they do have a certain charm over them.

I thought I'd finally learn the language more and I figured watching some Tagalog movies would get me started. I decided to put on this movie on an airplane to kill some time, and I wasn't expecting much more than your previously mentioned typical, cliché pinoy romcom.

I don't know if it was my zero expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed. Not only in regards of the story, but also the acting and directing part.

It starts out with a very serious tone, and kinda switch to a more lighthearted and silly tone. At first I didn't like this switch, but by the end of the movie I realized that this was a perfect move for the story and it all makes sense.

This is a very underrated pinoy movie that you should differently give a chance all the way through. I have to give credit to the actors, writers and director for taking a risk by being willing to bring something new to these type of pinoy films.

    Charming movie!

I like the film, overall the plot is fresh. Something I haven't seen in past Pinoy films! Gerald is so hot and I like the fact he's shirtless most of the time haha. Pia is such an underrated actress, hope she does more films!
