    Meh

Strange documentary that was. Starting with how short it was. Covering Caesar and its legacy in under one hour feels pretty absurd. Layer on top of that quite a few unnecessary scenes that bring nothing, and you end up with something messy. Very low quality production. There are many instances when I would have wanted more info on a topic (a demonstration of the slings with which they waged war is one example that comes to mind), but lots of topics are hurriedly covered. Visual cues would have been useful (chronology for eg). There are so many things that could have made this so much better. And the lady presenter felt a bit like an over eager self centered cupcake seller from a Nottingham fair shouting at you. Very strange.

    Tacky, tasteless nonsense

This is a tacky, tasteless diatribe that reveals nothing new. It is tedious. The narration by Ms Beard is like that of a homeless person who was told to go out and tell stories. I don't know what is is about the UK, they often bring forward inarticulate, string-haired shrews to cover historical topics. Ms Beard is so common, such a poor speaker that was impossib le to watch this documentary, i.e, farce. Overall it was a good idea but executed in the most dismal and vulgar manner. Some people should never bbe on camera, Ms Beard. The UK media is like this a lot and it seems to be getting worse over time. This is more of a cartoon than a serious documentary.
