As one reviewer wrote, he/she thought that negative reviewers were people that didn't get the validation from this show they hoped for. I am not one of those. I am a skeptic, I demand proof before I believe anything. but the first episode I saw of this new version, Time Travel, two photos of "time travelers" are shown, and both photos have already thoroughly been debunked.
if the show is going to use shoddy research and debunked information, why should I waste my time?
A good 7.5, at least.
I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the negative votes for this series is from the lunatic fringe - upset that the topic subjects were revealed as "disproven".
Because of that skepticism not edited out, thereby leaving belief or dismissal to the viewer, I will continue watching!

If you listen to Zachary's voice, you will realize the truth. It sounds like a computer generated voice. It's not quite perfect, they haven't yet perfected the technology to make Zachary truly appear human. It's my belief that he is a robot controlled by J.J. Abrams.
It seems fitting that this new In Search Of series should be narrated by Spock, just like the original. The problem was they didn't have a new Spock, hence the reason for creating this cyborg.
Someday they may create actors that can actually appear human and show human emotions. For now, they are restricted to playing Vulcans and narrating shows where a robotic voice is actually a benefit.

I'm not sure this needs reviewing as I'm thinking soon it will likely disappear or if if it comes back be seriously rebooted. This kind of show based on the past series was to be both thought provoking as well as entertaining in equal measures. Right now I feel those two main ingredients are in short supply. The show needs more of an upbeat type search with much less repetition. Watching this is like being in a cave of gloom. I think science and mysteries should be more fun and rewarding.
We watch this show repeatedly as a family. The emotion from Zachary is tangible and his delivery of the information is on point. These topics are a little 'sensationalized" for your viewing pleasure but what current show is not? It is a marvelous idea of continuing the "Spock" role as the delivery method for messages that many do not want to hear and often are for the first time. We DO live in a world of Magick. We DO live in a world of hate and superiority issues. Many topics Zachary touches on cover this very thing as well as a variety of other curious subjects.
A modern Spock, for a modern world. We look forward to more!
