It's tremendous that Netflix is using its budget to create shows like Chambers.
It's a creepy haunted transplant horror, but the new heart comes with strings attached. The entire cast is excellent. This is a gold standard for representation of Indigenous Americans who deserve to be seen on screen.
Watchable but without fireworks. Very slow, heavy to watch. Only one thing I like about it is camera and Arizona climate. Except that, movie actually is boring, another strange Netflix series.
In my opinion they spending too much money for poor production.
Yes this is a slow show, but its an interesting premise and as far as I was concerned, I wanted to see its conclusion. In fact I binge watched first season. Not scary at all but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
This one dragged hard in the beginning. None of the characters started off very compelling or even that likable or with much depth, and none of them had the type of essence required to carry the slow burn of this story. So why bother? Well, when the story finally picks up, it flies.
So first of all: the actors. Yes Uma, you did good, but what's up with the twenty-year old highschoolers? The unkle? The crazy attic-lady? Wow- how people think this is good acting escapes me. I had to burst out laughing at a couple of scenes and lines.
Production value? It feels like they ran out of money after the first episode and only had money for a simple red filter that they needed to use in every "scary" scene.
The plot is the dollar shop knock-off version of "Hereditary" (which I loved), and was trying hard to be something that it is not. I will grant the three stars because I did finish it and it was a fascinating waste of Netflix money to watch in a "what are they even doing" kind of way.
