    Makes one think

Choices to be made make this thriller one to think about long after this movie ends. Unexpressed feelings and unaddressed anger of main character Jack is the start. Other characters like Andy have their character flaws as well. College friends reunite with their worst traits exposed. One is doing well financially yet not happy. Another wants to be successful and is not ! Relational conflicts from the past to the present leads to tragic consequences and unexpected choices. I Like the thoughts for this movie watcher to ponder it all !

    Smart and tense!

Great film! The slow burn of the fallout from the main character's decisions is mesmerizing and provocative - perhaps because dealing with feeling of isolation and floundering while stretching for missed potential are painful yet universal experiences. This film packages these really challenging themes into a story that is biting, thought-provoking, and rewarding all at once. Shout-out to Chase Fein for conveying Jack's emotions so poignantly through expression and action (Jack isn't a big talker). This film becomes all the more impressive knowing how the writer/director team built it on a shoestring budget. There are so many incisive details in the writing, scene-setting, and use of sound (the faucet!...you'll know what I mean once you watch it) that build the film to its dramatic finish.

Sleeper movie, just not meant in the usual context

This movie put me to sleep, and I fought sleep hoping it would lead to some deeper meaning to be gleaned for my effort. My wasted 90 minutes would have been more beneficial in sleep time. I did not want to be so mean to the movie or maybe my tastes for quality movies have changed as I used to be able to watch anything when I did not value my leisure time as much.

    WOW

The script was intriguing and soul searching about class struggle and how it is difficult to overcome your past. The cinematography was beautiful. The way the shots were done really increased the beauty of the setting and enhanced the progress of the plot. The sound work was great especially since so much of the filming was outside. Each actor seemed to become their character. I heard that the writers/directors had only a $60,000 budget. If that's so this was a phenomenal work of script writing and film making.
