Odenkirk's performance is praised for its surprising effectiveness. The film's humor, self-awareness, and situational comedy are highlighted. Despite criticisms about plot predictability and lack of originality, the consensus is that 'Nobody' delivers entertaining and thrilling action, making it enjoyable for genre fans.

Yes the grammar would be wrong if I actually meant to say "anybody". There are things that you know are wrong (double negatives) and then there are things that may feel wrong (guilty pleasures) but actually are soooooo right! More than right to be exact! And considering the age of Bob Odenkirk it is quite the achievement they made him look so good during the action scenes - same rings true for Christopher Lloyd! An icon in his own right.
So the casting is amazing and the poster sort of tells you what is going to happen in the movie. It does not give you any backstory or context ... but that you will get in the movie. Yes certain things are convienient and yes for some it may take a bit too much time until the action really starts ... but like with John Wick, there is a reason our main character goes off ... a small reason for some and considering how that turns out ... or pops up (no pun intended), one can see how it all could have been avoided ... of course the lid could not have been kept on for much longer anyway.
Very well edited (especially the mundane everyday or week happenings) our main character has to go through. There are things that may not make much sense, but there might be some deleted scenes which would explain why for example our main character does not seem to be bothered that he lost his Metro (sub) card ... and we all notice because it is being used often ... not in a different manner mind you, but for what it is was invented and intended.
Having said all that, the movie is really fun to watch. I wouldn't mind getting a sequel to this ... which I reckon the ending sort of suggests anyway ...

You'll have to go back pretty far to find another bloody good time! This is a shocker in current year and refreshing! By the 32m mark, I'm going crazy! This is a throwback to a time when guys just turned off their brains and enjoyed a flick. This movie knows what it is and makes no apology. I only wish I'd saw this in theaters. Bob is awesome! Glad I found this.
A husband and father becomes the target of a vengeful drug lord.
Bob Odenkirk is absolutely outstanding here.
Director Ilya Naishuller and writer by Derek Kolstad offer a sharp film, with great action set ups, that's wonderfully filmed with credible looking locations. Connie Nielsen is slightly wasted that said there's a fantastic extended cameo from Christopher Lloyd. The supporting cast and solid including Michael Ironside and Colin Salmon. Aleksei Serebryakov as Yulian Kuznetsov is memorable.
With a great soundtrack it works perfectly until it goes into John Wick, Equalizer territory, that aside there's enough story tweaks to keep it fresh, in addition to echoing a modern Death Wish with a touch of A-Team and Macgyver to name a few it's a great ride.
Overall, a hard hitting fun must see action. Worth watching for Odenkirk alone.

If you are into John Wick type of films, you will be quite interested. But it's not exactly that kind of film this one. Mostly because there is no horse-riding and cartoon-ish absurdity in action sequences. There's "slightly" more realism and the fact that the hero of this film seems vulnerable makes it more interesting; Bob Odenkirk does look like an everyday day guy in this film. But the action scenes and the fights are excellent and he does an excellent job nailing them! The film starts off well, somewhat slow and picks up faster pace within 20 min. Right at that point, there is one scene which is rather stupidly set-up to give way for the rest of the story...the one with the bus...but later things do improve. The bus sequence is excellent action, don't get me wrong. It's just the way it was setup prior to the action. But... don't look for any script/scene consistency...just enjoy. Runtime is excellent for this genre; just 1h 30min, it never ever gets boring. It's just a cool movie overall, it won't get an Oscar or stay in your movie library but it will provide great entertainment! 7.5/10 for the fun.
An absolute blast!
'Nobody' is a supremely entertaining action flick. Most of it actually feels fairly usual for a film of this sort, yet the way everything is presented is great! The pacing is perfection, the musical choices are fully on point and then you also have strong cast performances.
Bob Odenkirk is of course (rightly) super acclaimed for that role as a certain lawyer elsewhere, so it's nice to see him doing other things. He is superb in this from beginning to end. Aleksei Serebryakov also gives a good performance, as also seen in television's 'McMafia'. Christopher Lloyd and RZA are fun, too.
The action is top notch, especially the fight stuff, and the humour - whilst not in your face - is noteworthy as well. It all comes together to make a fantastic 90 minutes that truly fly by. Gimme 'Nobody 2'.

- TriviaBased on an idea by Bob Odenkirk, who dealt with a home invasion himself by trapping the trespassers in the basement. He was frustrated with how the authorities dealt with the situation and had thought about how he would take the matter into his own hands if he "was a badass."
- GoofsThe right way to "glue" a cut is to first pinch the edges, then apply the glue on the skin to allow the now tighten flesh to heal; and not smearing the glue inside or over the wound and hope for instant gluing when pinching on the skin (fresh blood in the wound will prevent it from happening).
Correction... There's no factual error here. The technique isn't presented as fact. It's a character choice, doing something in a way that many people might do. It's doesn't have to be the optimal method.

Hutch Mansell: You brought a lot of shotguns.
David Mansell: You brought a lot of Russians.
- Crazy creditsThere is a bonus scene during the credits in which Hutch's dad David (Christopher Lloyd) and his brother Harry (RZA), are driving in a camper van loaded with weapons.
