Very much aimed at younger children who enjoyed the two recent Paddington films.
Having Ben Wishaw remain as the voice of the lovable bear helps a great deal, but it's not as good as the films.

I enjoyed watching this with my little one as the animation is nice and quaint, it's also more realistic in terms of London life than the films too. The stories are sweet as well, innocent and fun.
Of course it HAS to be PC so there is one character (just one mind you!) from different ethnic groups and one child is disabled. So obvious but that's not an issue.
What makes the cartoon annoying is the main character: Paddington is 50 times more annoying than any other character, everything he does makes me want to turn the tv off. I know it's meant to be lighthearted and fun but he's just so....irritating!

Although aimed at a younger audience than the movies, the show manages to take the modern interpretation of Paddington, and combine it with elements of the original kids series to great effect.
It's the perfect introduction to Paddington for kids that might later see the movies, or for kids that have seen the movies and want to engage more with the characters.
The Paddington humour comes through, as does the heart that makes the characters special. So it's still a fun watch for adults, and a good show when you want to share the laughter with your child.
It's a bit silly to score it low because it's not the movies, especially given how uniquely brilliant the first two are - but for a kids show it is very far above the average.

I've been watching the series on Nick Jr and I think this new series is decently enjoyable it's good nice humour and a great impressive style of cgi animation.
However it's not as charming as the first 2 movies were or even the 1975-1980 tv series because I find this to be more aimed towards younger children than something the whole children can enjoy. But it's definitely better than shows such as Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol or the newer Thomas and Friends: BWBA series.... Overall 6/10.

I love this show, our family enjoys it more than Bluey! As a parent I like the fact that the kids aren't disrespectful, and the adults aren't absent. Both adult and child learn something from each other. The show is imaginative, and as a parent I enjoy watching it too! I wish there were more episodes on Paramount plus.
