In my opinion this is the best Necrostorm movie by far.
Good acting, good story, great action scenes, and astonishing practical fxs.
It has elements of slashers, revenge, action movies, and horror. I founded a lot of similarities with Adam Chaplin and Hotel Inferno, both for the anime-like fights, one against many fights, ultra nasty villains, and the satanic vibe.
The only negatives for me are: the story is very different from the original fairy tale, even if all the characters are present in a darkest version. Then I hate seeing violence perpetrated on children and young people... and there is a scene that involve a young girl.
Beside that, I safely consider this a now day cult and I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me

I honestly didn't have high expectations for this one, because I hated their recent flicks (Mildew and Suite).
But damn, this was mind-boggling.
Don't get me wrong, it's far to be a perfect film (the lead actress backstory is boring, the sets are mainly creepy caves and abandoned churches).
But like other people are saying, I think this is the best film of the studio, both for the highly improved video and audio quality, for the good script and acting, and for the great fxs (3 kills in the middle are insane, the last 15 mins are a mayhem of no-stop gore and action).
I also kept in mind we're talking about an indie studio here (prolly with a 10 people staff) that's why I give Litte Red Necro a solid 9 out of 10.
I really hope they'll (only) make more movies like this in the future.
I like the Necrostorm movies. But in this case the rhythm of the film is slow, the story does not attract, the performances seem poor and the only thing that is saved is the final ten minutes where we see a remake of the final fight of Adam Chaplin. I want to be honest: I like Italian cinema and the people of Necrostorm have a talent for expressing grotesque and over the top situations without any problem. What is the big problem here? The script. It's lousy, unsustainable. When you watch the movie, you have to wait for the gore moments to entertain yourself and these unfortunately don't happen often. Mediocre, bad movie.
Little Necro Red is only of any good if you love to watch movies (sometimes) only for the sake of the art of gore. If you don't like to watch real gory scenes, and I mean not that kind of stuff you get served in all those mainstream horror "gore" movies a la the Saw or the Wrong Turn franchises, but really true ugly and sometimes hard to watch gore, then put Little Necro Red on your watch-list - if not, avoid. A rich snack for the true gorehound, and like Hotel Inferno 2: The Cathedral of Pain, one of my new pleasures regarding that kind of movies.
I honestly don't know what to feel about this film, it's so weird.
The story is, well, I don't even know what the story is. I really struggled to follow what was going on, there's some sub plot thing going on about a women who ran off with a man and deserted her best friend, at a time when her daughter went missing to apparently join some weird cult or something, errm, that's about all I could get from this.
It's just scenes of these 2 women talking and doing random things like smoking, cooking eggs, sleeping and these are intercut with scenes in a cave of some old hag with puss dripping out of sores all over her body, a weird deformed henchman with a metal eye, thats shoots people for some reason and random badniks who just show up to kill people.
People come into the film, have a few lines of dialogue and then are randomly murdered for no reason, you don't even know who half of these people are or what they're supposed to be doing there, they just turn up to be killed, it's so bafflingly odd.
OK, let me get this out of the way, this film is gory as hell with some admittedly great and ridiculously over the top gore effects, some of them are so real and vile looking that they made me feel queasy, and I love torture porn movies like Saw and Hostel, trust me, this makes those look like episodes of the Telly Tubbies. There's exploding heads, smashed and crushed faces, torso's ripped open, faces stabbed and sliced off, eyeballs being squashed out of heads, it's gruesome beyond belief, but it just has no plot or story, it's so paper thin that it just comes across as an excuse to show off the gore effects, it's just scenes of people being killed and tortured with no explanation why, it gets a bit much after a while.
The film itself is a complete pile of of something brown and slimy that I'm not allowed to say here on IMDB and I'd happily give this 1 star, it's pointless, boring, makes no sense whatsoever but......I have to give it props for the gore effects that are, for the most part, really well done.
If you just want to watch loads of people getting beat up and murdered in disgusting ways, you may get something out of this but it was too much for me, there were no characters or story to invest in and after a few kills even the effects got too much.
1 star for the film itself and 3 for the effects which obviously had a lot of work put into them.
