Excellent interview with Rob Reiner has him discussing his early career and what led up to him directing the 1990 film MISERY. If you're a fan of the director or the film then you'll certainly love this interview that clocks in at 37-minutes and features some really great discussions on the making of the film. He talks about how it got optioned from Stephen King and goes into the casting of the two leads. There are some interesting names that turned down the part that would eventually go to James Caan. From here we get into various stories dealing with the production, the music, the editing and the cinematography. There are a lot of really great details about not only the making of the film but some of Reiner's early work and why it was a bit nervous making a thriller. There's only negative thing is the fact that he isn't asked about working with screen legend Lauren Bacall.
