Quite possibly the most cliche ridden horror movie of the century so far, which is quite a feat considering the screenplay is so underwritten. There is not a single redeemable character here, or a half developed one. Some people should never get a second chance at filmmaking, the writer/director here should top that list.
Thriller: Teen-Slasher flick set in Compton. A boy with special, Chauncey, needs is tricked into believing he is being attacked by monsters and accidentally kills one of his tormentors. The rest of the gang lie about the circumstances of the death and Chauncey is sent to Juvenile Prison. Four years later it's Homecoming weekend at their High School and the gang are doing teen things. But Chauncey has been released. A hooded killer starts to pick off the teens one by one. Eviscerating, clubbed to death etc. Nothing particularly new in this film, all a bit predictable and mediocre. Writer/Director Dallas Jackson delivers a just about watchable horror-revenge movie. 4.5/10. On Netflix.
This has to be the worst movie ever created. The acting is beyond disgraceful, and even worse UNIVERSAL PICTURES picked it up. Shame on u universal ,I'm truly disappointed.
Don't take it seriously and you may enjoy this movie. Its predictable, poorly acted, stereotypical, etc. Yet, like car accident, I just couldn't look away. The dialogue is hysterically cringe-worthy throughout.
With the decent music and fact that it was distributed by Universal you could be forgiven for thinking this was half way decent, however there is no mistake, this is awful.
It's a dreadful film, there is nothing unique, every sequence has been seen before, it all felt as if it had been stitched together from other movies.
The acting is shocking, absolutely dreadful, every single character was horrid, nobody was in the least bit likeable.
Possibly the least thrilling thing I've sat through. 2/10.
