One of the worst movies if not the worst movie I have ever seen. I would rather sit through every installment of Sharknado consecutively with my eyes pinned open while I have the flu
There are child actors you don't want to hit with an iron. This movie doesn't have any of them.
It's stories are short and too the point. Some I wish were more fleshed out coz they had, what I'd considered to be, good premises. I found myself questioning so much throughout this movie but I was entertained.
Each story is 5 to 10 minutes ...if even. Like the ABC's of death but more horror focused.
Charlotte was a way to waste an hour and half while wondering what kind of stuff the movie was going to show next. I was hoping it was going to surprise me with turning into a B-horror, but it kept dropping lower every time I got excited thinking it was getting better.
The main story is that a babysitter is being slowly messed with by a doll. The doll is showing the babysitter movies while other changes are happening.
The audience gets to see snippets of what is happening to the babysitter, just enough to figure out what is going on. And the movie mostly focuses on the one-shots that the doll is "showing" the babysitter. You see the babysitter, a movie, the babysitter, a movie, and so on.
The whole doll thing is lame. And the first story is muffled at times. Some stories I'd rate a B, some a C, and some - just lame. The acting is off or forced, and sometimes you can tell the actors are just having fun instead of completely in the story.
There are some scenes with a bit of blood, and one with a pinch of gore.
Overall though, it's a weird way to spend an hour and a half.

Watching the horror movie Charlotte on Hulu... it's not great, let me start by prefacing it right up front... it's about a babysitter who is abducted by the family doll and forced to watch bad horror stories... and they got that right... but one of the last stories is about a private showing of a horror movie entitled Foaming at the Mouth Part 2... and the concession girl is very hungry and pregnant... and when the place gets locked down to start the feature presentation, everyone starts rambunctiously throwing food up at the stage and she starts secretly eating it... definitely my favorite part of the movie.
