I was excited to hear about the remake but i could barely get through the first half hour. The acting was the worst I've seen. Not a fan of the casting choices. No one sang good either. Not sure if it was a problem with direct tv or not, but the synching was not matched up with the voices to their lips. It was way off. The original was a million times better. This was awful. Just embarrassingly awful.
People are being very weird in the reviews. It's a cute movie, the songs are from the musical you weirdos!
I think the signing is cute and I enjoyed the movie. Is it a masterpiece? No. Is it cute? Sure!
I think Cozy is cute as a main character and does a good job. I think the acting is as you'd expect from a Disney movie. The actors look the age they're playing, which is a nice change of pace.
Overall y'all should just stop being so jaded and enjoy a cute little movie from Disney.
It's as good as Radio Rebel. I think that's actually a good comparison. This at the same level of acting and story as Radio Rebel. I don't see anyone arguing that's a masterpiece either, but it is fun!

A musical? Really? 2003 version should have been the last. This version is horrible, the music is terrible, and who are these people?
This movie was the worst I have ever seen. None of the commercials mention that it js a musical. There is no real lesson to this movie and it is trash. The songs are just annoying and have no meaning and dont even make sense with the movie.
This is just awful, just awful! It doesn't even deserve a star. The 2003 version was the best! The acting was terrible, even the mom and daughter fighting scenes were boring. I almost fell asleep while watching. A magic hour glass really? That's just stupid! It's pretty sad when you don't recognize any of the actors. The songs made it worse. There's too much "trying to keep up with the times." They really should have stopped with the 2003 version. Sounds like Disney is running out of ideas. Leave Freaky Friday alone!!! Don't waist your time with this snooze fest.
