remarkable

A tele play preserving the flavor of Goncharov novel. Yves Gasc giving a great Zakhar and the viewer being confronted with not exactly expected Oblomov. Delicate and precise, using the sequences of Russian and Soviet films, proposing not only a great adaptation but a wise manner to discover the roots of a life style. Touching and subtle and impressive and beautiful. Against the feeling to be only a remarkable sketch. Short, just Oblomov. In new aspects and definition and exposed nuances. Simple but remarkable. Beautiful and touching. Not only for the status of work of Comedie Francais. B>ut because it represents , in high measure, a portrait of our near reality.

This film is based on the play the actors of the film had performed at The Comédie Française in Paris starting in May 2013. In the play's original cast however, the role of Olga was held by Marie-Sophie Ferdane whereas here Adeline D'Hermy takes the part.
