This video work would be more properly understood in a gallery context, it is not meant to be watched on the couch in the same manner as the original. It is experiential and meant to reflect on film as a medium and its relation to time, vision, space, etc. It is not meant to be 'enjoyed' in the same manner as a narrative film. Its an 'installation' not a 'movie'.

Contrary to what other reviewers have stated, the artist did this with intention and with a great deal of understanding of video and film, and visual culture in general. It is certainly understandable to dislike this piece--it is a provocation of sorts, and is certainly not meant for casual consumption--but there is richness to the piece for those with an open-mind and patience, especially if understood in the manner in which it was intended to be seen--in a physical space (almost as a sculpture).
